Who we are
tsukumo is a Swiss studio operated by its founder, who is the data controller for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact hello@tsukumo.ch.
This policy covers the tsukumo.ch website. It is written to meet the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nLPD/revFADP) and, for visitors in the EU/EEA, the GDPR.
What we collect, and why
We collect only what a given interaction needs.
- When you contact us or book an assessment. Your name, email, company, and the message you send. We use this to reply, scope the work, and follow up about it. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry, and, once we are in contact about an engagement, performance of steps before a contract.
- When you apply to a role. The name, email, links, and anything you include in your application. We use it only to assess your application. Legal basis: steps prior to a possible employment contract.
- When you join a waitlist or download a resource. Your email, and the source of the request. We use it to deliver what you asked for and, only if you opt in, to send related updates. Legal basis: consent for the updates; legitimate interest for delivering the thing you requested.
- When you subscribe to the newsletter. Your email. We use it to send the newsletter, nothing else. Legal basis: your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- When you browse the site. We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Plausible) that does not track you across sites or build a profile of you, and does not set advertising cookies. It gives us aggregate counts (page views, referrers) with no personal identifiers. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding traffic, with no cookie banner required because no personal data is stored on your device for this.
We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising trackers.
Who processes data for us
We use a small set of service providers to run the site. Each only processes what its function needs.
- Supabase (database): stores form submissions.
- Resend (email): sends transactional and, where you consented, newsletter email.
- Plausible (analytics): cookieless, aggregate traffic measurement.
- Vercel (hosting): serves the site and processes standard server logs.
International transfers
Some providers process data outside Switzerland and the EU/EEA (for example in the United States). Where that happens, the transfer relies on an appropriate safeguard, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision. You can ask us for details using the contact above.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as the purpose needs, then delete or anonymize it. You can ask us about the retention of a specific dataset using the contact above.
Your rights
Under the nLPD and the GDPR you can ask us to:
- confirm what data we hold about you and get a copy (access),
- correct data that is wrong (rectification),
- delete your data (erasure),
- restrict or object to a use,
- receive your data in a portable form (portability),
- withdraw consent at any time, which does not affect processing already done.
To exercise any of these, email hello@tsukumo.ch. We respond within the legal time limit. If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or, in the EU/EEA, your local supervisory authority.
Cookies
The site uses no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and analytics is cookieless. Any cookie we set is strictly necessary to make the site work.
Changes
We update this policy when our processing changes, and we revise the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page.
